SIC 10890, 46460 & 47910 · Food manufacture, wholesale and non-store retail

Food manufacture, wholesale and online retail

Contract and own-brand manufacture, recipe and format development, labelling and allergen compliance, trade and wholesale supply, and online retail and despatch.

Contract & Own-Brand Manufacture

Manufacture of food products to an agreed written specification (SIC 10890). Dry goods, blends and mixes made, packed and labelled to the brand owner’s spec, with batch records kept for traceability in both directions.

  • SIC 10890
  • To written spec
  • Batch traceable

Recipe & Format Development

Working up a recipe, a blend or a pack format from an idea to something that can actually be produced at volume and will survive its shelf life. Development is of the food itself; we do not design, test or substantiate any claim about what it does.

  • SIC 10890
  • Development
  • No claims developed

Labelling & Allergen Compliance

Ingredient listing, the legal name of the food, quantitative ingredient declaration, nutrition declaration, and the 14 regulated allergens emphasised in the ingredient list as the law requires. We also check that nothing printed on the pack is an unauthorised nutrition or health claim.

  • 14 allergens
  • FIC rules
  • Claims checked

Trade & Wholesale Supply

Wholesale supply of the food we produce to retailers, caterers and other trade buyers, on written trade terms with specifications and allergen information supplied for every line.

  • Trade terms
  • Specs supplied
  • Allergen info

Pharmaceutical Wholesale (46460)

A registered activity we do not operate without a licence. Wholesale dealing in medicinal products in the UK requires a Wholesale Dealer’s Licence from the MHRA, and dealing without one is a criminal offence. We do not claim to hold one and we handle no medicinal products.

  • SIC 46460
  • MHRA licence required
  • Not claimed

Online Retail & Despatch

Retail sale over the internet and by mail order (SIC 47910), with the pre-contract information, the 14-day cancellation right and the limited exceptions to it all set out before you order rather than after.

  • SIC 47910
  • 14-day right
  • Exceptions stated

Why is one of the cards about something you do not do?

Because the company is registered for it, so you can see it on the public record and would reasonably assume it happens. Wholesale dealing in medicines needs an MHRA licence we do not claim, so the honest thing is to put the card up and say so rather than leave a gap.
